About Me

I am a proud husband and father of three young children (ages 5, 3, and 3). Having grown up in Tualatin and lived in Portland, we intentionally settled my family in Newberg so my kids can grow up in a tight-knit community. I am a working professional and hold a master’s degree in public administration. With 10 years of experience in community development and conflict resolution, I am committed to fostering a strong, collaborative city. Additionally, I am a 2-time 100-mile ultramarathoner, songwriter, gardener, woodworker, and expert magnatile engineer.

I am excited to be running for Newberg City Council, District 5!

Core Policy Goals

Create a Thriving Place:

A high quality of life is essential. When people love where they live, they’re inspired to improve it. Our parks, streets, and public spaces are crucial for our health and well-being. A community that meets residents' needs becomes more attractive for living, working, and doing business. Quality of life isn’t a luxury – it’s a necessity.

Grow Opportunities for All:

Creating opportunities for residents across all income levels leads to broad economic growth and social cohesion. By supporting local business expansion and attracting new private investments, we can bring living wage jobs and increase collective prosperity. City government must use its levers to create more housing options, especially for cost-burdened residents, through public-private partnerships.

Build Community Resilience:

A resilient city can withstand challenges like economic downturns, social upheavals, and extreme weather events. Most importantly, it’s about community – knowing your neighbors and looking out for one another. We need relationships stronger than divisive forces and unforeseen challenges, focusing on neighborliness and mutual respect to solve problems together.
